Bavarian Shrimp Asian Soup Ramen-Style

Asian soups are loved for their variety of flavors and aromatic intensity. Ramen has its origins in Japan — this hearty soup combines perfectly cooked ramen noodles with a rich Bavarian shrimp soup base, refined with layered aromas and spices.

Ingredients:

  • Asian-style Bavarian shrimp soup (ready-made base)
  • Bavarian shrimp, kitchen-ready
  • 180 g ramen noodles
  • 1 egg
  • 2 mini pak choi
  • 1 handful of mushrooms
  • 2 spring onions
  • Some sesame seeds
  • A few dashes of soy sauce

How to cook it:

  1. The day before, place the soup and the kitchen-ready Bavarian shrimp in the fridge to defrost.

  2. Pour the defrosted Asian-style soup into a medium saucepan and heat it through.

  3. Cook the ramen noodles according to the instructions on the packet.

  4. Boil the egg for about 7–8 minutes, then rinse it in cold water to stop it cooking any further. Halve the egg and add it to the soup as the final step.

  5. Cut the mushrooms into fine slices and sear them in a nonstick pan over a high heat. Sear the Bavarian shrimp in the same pan for about 1 minute on each side.

  6. Separate the pak choi into individual leaves and add them to the soup. Blanch for just a few minutes so it keeps a nice, crisp bite.

  7. Fill bowls with the soup, add the ramen noodles and garnish with the remaining ingredients.
