OUR STORY
Germany’s RAS Pioneers.
Oceanloop was formed in 2023 by bringing together Germany's two pioneering forces in land-based aquaculture: Crusta Nova, one of Europe's first commercial RAS shrimp producer, and the marine RAS expertise of Sander through the acquisition of its daughter companies Förde Garnelen and neomar. This combination united decades of operational experience in seafood farming, engineering, water treatment and species biology within a single platform.
At the same time, Honest Catch - one of Germany's leading premium seafood e-commerce and B2B distribution companies- was carved out of Crusta Nova to build a dedicated market platform for high-quality seafood. Together, Oceanloop, Sander and Honest Catch now combine technology development, engineering, farming, processing and market access under one ecosystem.
Today, this unique combination makes Oceanloop one of Europe's most vertically integrated aquaculture companies - covering the entire value chain from RAS technology and biological know-how to commercial seafood production, product marketing and the international licensing of Oceanloop technology.

LOCATIONS
A European footprint
built for scale.
Oceanloop combines a Munich office, a Kiel R&D and pilot site, and an industrial scale-up project in Gran Canaria. Each location has a clear role in the platform: company building, technology proof, and industrial deployment.
MUNICH, GERMANY
Oceanloop Munich office & Honest Catch headquarter
Oceanloop’s Munich office brings together strategy, finance, sales & marketing, business development, partnerships and investor relations for the Oceanloop Group. Sharing the same location as Honest Catch, the Group's premium seafood sister-company.
Building on more than a decade of seafood entrepreneurship that began with Crusta Nova, Honest Catch has evolved into one of Germany's leading premium D2C-seafood brands, serving thousands of consumers as well as restaurants and wholesale customers. Its close proximity to Oceanloop creates a unique ecosystem where product development, customer feedback and market access reinforce each other.
Together, Oceanloop and Honest Catch combine technology with commercial excellence. While R&D and technology development are based in Kiel, the Munich headquarters provides immediate access to established sales channels, marketing capabilities and customer relationships across the DACH region and Europe, accelerating the commercialization of Oceanloop's products and technology.

STRANDE / KIEL, GERMANY
Oceanloop Kiel farm & RAS-Tech Centre
Located on Germany's Baltic coast, Oceanloop Kiel is the Group's centre for technology development and marine fish farming. The site operates a commercial R&D farm as technology centre for land-based marine aquaculture and benefits from direct access to natural Baltic Sea water as well as sustainable waste heat from the neighbouring Bülk wastewater treatment plant. This unique combination provides an efficient and sustainable foundation for research, commercial production and future scale-up.
Oceanloop Kiel serves as the Company's development platform, where new farming concepts, automation systems, software and AI-based applications are continuously tested and refined under commercial conditions. Together with national and international universities, research institutes and industry partners, Oceanloop conducts a range of research projects focused on animal welfare, digitization, resource efficiency and the further development of Oceanloop RAS.
Today, the facility produces around 20 tonnes of Giant Grouper annually. Fish are harvested weekly using the traditional Japanese Ikejime slaughtering method and supplied fresh or frozen & portioned to restaurants, wholesalers and premium seafood customers across Europe.
Construction of Oceanloop's 250-tonnes Giant Grouper pilot farm will begin in 2026 adjacent to the existing facility. The pilot farm will demonstrate the next stage of Oceanloop's technology platform and will also serve as the Company's future RAS Technology & Training Centre for customers, partners and future farm operators.
ARINAGA / GRAN CANARIA, SPAIN
Oceanloop Europe industrial project development
Oceanloop Europe is developing the Company's first industrial-scale production site on Gran Canaria, creating the blueprint for future large-scale Oceanloop farms. The location has been selected for its outstanding natural conditions, including year-round sunshine, excellent renewable energy potential from solar and wind, direct access to high-quality seawater and a well-established marine research ecosystem. The island is home to internationally recognized aquaculture companies and research institutions and provides an ideal environment for technology development, commercial production and future expansion.
Oceanloop Europe is currently in the project development phase for its Spanish commercial RAS facility. The first development phase is designed for an annual production capacity of approximately 1,000 tonnes of premium Giant Grouper, complemented by a dedicated hatchery to ensure long-term biological independence and support future Oceanloop farms. The site has been designed for modular expansion and is planned to grow by at least a further 1,000 tonnes of production capacity in subsequent phases.
